The 1937 Steiner Log Church was honored to host the July 2024 Friends of Timberline board meeting. We greatly enjoyed sharing the legacy of Henry Steiner and his family with this wonderful group of folks dedicated to the preservation of such a treasured Oregon icon, Timberline Lodge.
The 1937 Steiner Log Church was pleased to welcome its first official international tour event in May of this year, and we'd like to thank the Kanemasu Tours group from Japan for graciously including the church in their list of Oregon destinations. It was a pleasure to meet you all and share the legacy of Henry Steiner and Mt. Hood history. Lunch in the gazebo was fun, too!
The 1937 Steiner Log Church was pleased to welcome a tour group from The Springs at Happy Valley assisted living facility recently. Eleven folks toured the church and the gazebo on a beautiful summer day, while Mike Gudge shared stories about Henry Steiner, Mike's move of the church, and its 46 year restoration. Thank you for visiting!
The 1937 Steiner Log Church recently hosted its first wedding reception, and what a beautiful event it was. A welcoming fire in the stone fireplace crackled in the background as guests enjoyed dinner and lively conversation at two long tables set in a unique historical Mt. Hood venue. Our thanks to the bride and groom for choosing the 1937 Steiner Log Church as the reception site for their big day!
On Monday, May 5th, the 1937 Steiner Log Church welcomed the Christian country band Mark209, who filled the church with their amazing multi-award-winning music. With its classic architecture and stunning beauty, as well as outstanding acoustics, they felt the church is the perfect place to capture music and content for an upcoming video, and we were thrilled to have them come visit. We always enjoy when car clubs bring their classic cars to the church, so it was a pleasure to welcome the Oregon Chapter of the Edsel Owners Club, complete with some of their classic Edsels.
Your group or club is more than welcome to come visit the church, as well. To do so, contact Mike Gudge via this website.
